Installation
Always wear Protective Gear, such as Safety Glasses, Boots and Gloves.
Mark out where the edging is to go.
If the ground is hard, for best results, use an edger to create a visible channel when inserting.
Link a couple of pieces together at a time – Elegant Edging comes with prefabricated ends that simply slide together. Refer to the video.
Hammer the Elegant Edging into the ground with a mallet. To avoid damaging the Edging, use a wood block rather than hitting the metal directly.
To form a circle please refer to the table below to work out how many pieces are required depending on the radius/diameter of the circle you are looking to create. We do not recommend you use less than 3 pieces for form a circle. Simply join the pieces together to form a circle and install as per the instructions above.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you bend Elegant Edging to form a sharp angle?
Wearing all the necessary Safety Gear, such as gloves, safety glasses and boots, the easiest way is to give it a light touch with an angle grinder where you want to bend it. Then place it in a vice and bend it on the seam you’ve created. If you don’t have a vice you could use a block of wood as a point of leverage.
Where is Elegant Edging manufactured?
Elegant Edging is manufactured in China. We have had the steel tested to ensure that it meets Australian Standards, namely AS/NZS 3678:2016 Grade 350WR.
How do the pieces link together?
Elegant Edging has prefabricated ends that simply slide together. Refer to the video.
Do I need to buy metal stakes to hold the Edging in place?
No stakes are required as Elegant Edging comes with its own integrated installation design. Each Edge has 7 spikes that are part of the Edge, making installation very easy. Plus, the cost per Edge is the final cost – no need to factor in the cost of stakes required for installation.
How many pieces are required to form a circle?
To form a circle please refer to the table below to work out how many pieces are required depending on the radius/diameter of the circle you are looking to create. We do not recommend you use less than 3 pieces for form a circle. Simply join the pieces together to form a circle and install as per the instructions above.
Do you have a minimum quantity per order?
No - we do not have a minimum quantity per order.
How much is shipping?
Our shipping rate is $30 per 25kg. For example, an order weighing 10kg or 20kg will be $30, an order weighing 40kg will be $60.
How many pieces should I order?
Measure out the area that you would like to edge. If the measurement comes to 10 metres, then all you need is 10 pieces. Although each piece is 1075mm long, 75mm is used up where 2 pieces join together easily. If there are corners involved it would be worthwhile considering buying 1 or 2 extra pieces to give you some flexibility when you install the edging.
What do I do if the edging I need does not exactly match the Elegant Edging lengths?
There are a few options here, depending on your garden. In some cases it would make sense to simply cut off the excess length not required. Alternatively, if you bend the excess to 90 degrees this can often create a very neat finish against a wall or fence. If in doubt, please contact us and we will offer our opinion for FREE.
