Can I bend CoreEdge Powder-Coated Galvanised Steel into a 90° corner?

We recommend our Powder-Coated Corner Piece. Its built-in fold crease lets you bend it by hand to the angle you need without damaging the powder-coat finish. Alternatively, you can score and bend a standard length, but scoring cuts through the coating, so touch up the exposed steel with the appropriate paint afterwards.

Where is CoreEdge made?

CoreEdge is made to our specifications by a partner factory in China. We've visited the factory in person and developed CoreEdge's design with them, including some innovative accessories such as the slope adjuster and end pieces. Every order ships from Brisbane, and our Australian team is here to help before and after you buy.

How do the lengths join together?

Each length has pre-formed ends that slot together with our click-lock system. If a join is tight, tap it together with a rubber mallet. Watch the installation video for a walkthrough.

Do I need extra stakes?

No. Every length has 7 integrated spikes, so the price per length is the full cost. The only time we suggest extra stakes is for long straight runs in very soft or freshly turned soil.

Is there a minimum order?

No. Order as many or as few lengths as you need.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free across Australia on orders of $275 and over. Orders under $275 ship for a flat $30. If in doubt contact us on 0427 554 280. We dispatch from Brisbane within 24–48 hours. Please note we can't deliver to PO boxes.

How much edging do I need?

Lay a hose or string along the line you want to edge, then measure it. Each length is 1075mm, with 75mm used in the join, so every length covers 1 metre: 10m of edge = 10 lengths. If your design has corners, add 1–2 spare lengths. Not sure? Send us a photo or sketch and we'll work it out for free.

What if my edge doesn't match the lengths exactly?

You have three options: finish the run with an end piece, cut off the excess with an angle grinder, or bend the excess 90° for a neat finish against a wall or fence. Avoid leaving any sharp points exposed.

How should I store the edging before installing it?

Keep it flat, off the ground and somewhere dry and ventilated, ideally in its packaging. Don't store it on pavers, decking or concrete, as the weathering steel can leave rust marks.

Which CoreEdge product should I choose?

Edging garden beds and lawns: weathering steel edging for a natural, rust-toned look, or powder-coated galvanised steel edging for a neat, modern line. Around trees or fire pits: weathering steel tree rings. To finish runs or handle slopes: end pieces and slope adjusters. Still unsure? Send us a photo and we'll recommend the right fit.

Does CoreEdge Powder-Coated Steel need maintenance?

Very little. Hose off dirt occasionally and clear away built-up soil or mulch. Touch up any chips to keep the coating protected.

Can I collect my order or see the products in person?

How do I track my order?

How tall is the edging above and below ground?

Heights are measured from the top of the edging to the tip of the spikes. 195mm: 100mm above ground, 95mm below. 265mm: 150mm above ground, 115mm below.

Can I cut CoreEdge Powder-Coated Galvanised Steel on site?

Yes, but avoid cutting where you can, because cutting goes through the powder-coat and exposes the steel underneath. For corners, use our Powder-Coated Corner Piece, which bends by hand at its fold crease without damaging the finish. If you do need to cut or score a length, touch up the exposed steel with the appropriate paint afterwards to seal it.

Will CoreEdge keep lawn runners out of my garden beds?

It forms a solid steel barrier above and below ground that helps keep runners out of your beds. Some may still creep through, but the odd runner is simple to manage.
